Font Convertor and Linux
« on: June 13, 2011, 01:07:40 PM »
Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I can't find how to convert fonts with Linux (by the way it would be nice to have an online convertoron the rockbox site).

I tried to convert nimbus bold (with an old windows box) but the result must be incorrect, as I get another font which is probably the default one. I even don't know where the font files are in windows...

Thanks for your help.

You might want to look at this wiki page: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/CreateFonts

Yes, just the information I was looking for, but now some questions:

how can I know my server name and address, as fstobdf -s unix/:7100 answers me that fstobdf: can't open font server "unix/:7100"

convbdf is shipped within the source files of Rockbox. OK, where can I find these sources?

Thanks

Modern X systems don't use a font server.
