Nesting / chaining playlists
« on: June 12, 2011, 08:39:18 AM »
I want to be able to set up Rockbox to play everything in my Podcast playlist, and then go on to play the music Playlist. I thought about just putting podcasts at the front of the music playlist, but that makes it difficult to put it on shuffle.

Is it possible to tell Rockbox to play more than one playlist?

Thanks.

Can't you insert a saved playlist into the current dynamic playlist?

You can, but that would produce the shuffle problem mentioned (since it's then a new dynamic playlist containing both original playlists). You could of couse start with an empty dynamic playlist and insert both playlists shuffled. That's still different than chaining playlists and putting the player on shuffle.

Sure.  I'm just imagining inserting the podcast playlist then inserting the music playlist shuffled, not enabling Shuffle.  I'm not sure that enabling Shuffle is really a requirement.  The OP asked

This seems to give a way to do that.
