FM Wake Up Screen on 1g Nano

OK, this is probably something stupid I am doing, so I apologize ahead of time...
When I use the "Wake Up Alarm" with the "Wake Up Screen" set to "Recording." my Nano turns on OK, but the screen looks like the FM screen. This is especially strange as there is no FM radio on this player.
This is a 1g Nano running 3.8.1
Thanks.
*** Now I don't think this is me. I have repeated this test and the player consistently starts on the FM screen. Starting on the Resume Playback Screen works fine. Either this is a bug, or there is something odd about my player.
Has anyone verified this?
Thanks again.
*** Can someone with a 1g Nano please verify this? This looks like a bug to me, but I want to make sure it is not unique to my player before I submit a bug report. I don't think I can verify this with the simulator.
Thanks again (again).

I would like independent verification of this before I report it as a bug. Is anyone else out there using a 1g Nano?
Am I posting to the wrong forum?

You might get more attention in General Discussion. It seems like it may not strictly be a problem with recording, so I'll move it there if you like.

Does anyone know if this issue has been addressed in 3.10?
(It is already on FlySpray)
Thanks...

This has been reported (and confirmed) in Fly Spray #12182. I'm not sure how the system works, but if it has been looked into (and hopefully fixed), would there be a note to that effect in the Fly Spray thread?
Thanks.

Yes, you'll get an email everytime anyone changes anything on that task (post, status, etc).

When I turned on the 1g Nano this weekend (manually), it came up on the FM screen! It even appeared to try to change frequency with the first few button presses, then it switched to the main menu. Odd!

Based on the research done by dreamlayers, would the feature work properly if there was indeed an FM radio option (hardware) attached? I mean, would this be an effective work-around?
