Text Viewer for Sansa Clip+

Does anyone know if/when the Text Viewer plugin will be functional on the Clip+?  I noticed that the plugin file is present in the current build and the association between TXT files and the viewer seems to be configured. However, navigating to a folder that contains TXT files does not display anything.

A lot of the other applications and demos (some amusing but relatively pointless) work fine on the Clip+, so I'm wondering why something as useful as the Text Viewer is not currently supported. This would be extremely useful for text-based ebooks, lists, contact info, etc., so I'm really hoping it will be functional soon.

Does anyone know what the status of this is on the Clip+ and whether there are plans to add support for this in the near future?

Thanks.

Txt viewer and editor is functional on the clip Browse to your file; select the file; hold onto the select button and open the file in either the viewer or editor.

As the other poster said, this plugin should work on this player.  Here's the entry in the manual:
http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansaclipplus/rockbox-buildch11.html#x14-24400011.3.13

Did you get the idea that it was unsupported from the PluginIndex page in the wiki?  The wiki is user maintained and some of the plugin pages aren't the most up to date lately.  Because of this, the table located at the PluginIndex page is not completely up to date, especially for more recent targets.

I can browse the folder structure just fine, but it will not list any of the text files in the folder, so there's never an opportunity to select the file in order to open it.  I've tried changing the file extensions from .TXT to .txt, but it still refuses to list any of these files (it lists music files just fine).  Is there a configuration option that needs to be set to enable listing of non-music files?  Is there some restriction on where the files can be placed?  I've created an EBOOKS folder in the root of internal storage (but I've also tried different folders on the SD card).

I'm running the latest release (3.8.1) and even tried the latest nightly build from June 5.

Make sure "show files" is set to Supported or All.
