Ability to selectively disable or modify buttons on certain pages

I currently have a sandisk sansa fuze v2 (everything seems to work well except USB)

I was wondering if anyone knew a way to edit the functions of certain buttons when on the now playing page.

I like mp3 players like the fuze because you don't need to take them out of your pocket to use them (physical buttons FTW)

the only issue is that certain buttons like the down button or the select button, or the home button will take you out of the now playing, requiring you to take the mp3 player out of your pocket to get it back to the now playing screen.

What I would like to do is when you are on the now playing screen, any button that takes you out of the now playing screen, will have a customizable delay of how long you have to press those buttons for them to do their functions.

Is this possible, or has it already been done? (I really just want to prevent the accidental pressing of those buttons causing it to leave the now playing screen)

Can't you put the Fuze to hold before you put it in your pocket? That way you won't get any unwanted button presses.
