Working CF cards on Iriver H300

I must not have been clear.
My intention was to forwarn one that a Brand X Model Y card purchased in 2010 might very well not contain the same components as a Brand X Model Y card purchased in 2011, and thus one should be cautious about reliance on another's experience when purchasing a card.

(emphasis mine), and I simply tried to warn that you won't be sure and therefore should consider purchasing methods which allow for dealing with the very real risk of a card which won't work for you.

It is a very old file, but it is the only working version that I know of. Note the following:
