Mus:
Hi y'all,

Can someone remind me how to get this working on an iriver H140? It seems to have stopped.

Which Id3 tag does it read and which program do I need to write it, and which program will display it?

I am using Foobar2000 0.8.3 on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine, but it only seems to be writing APE tags and not Id3v1 as I have selected - WinAmp only seems to show ID3v2.

I'm sure it worked fine before I changed PCs etc.

Thanks for any help.

foobar2000 is a good program to do this on Windows.

First, your version of foobar2000 is heavily outdated. I recommend getting a current one. Second, you can't write ReplayGain tags into ID3v1 tags, you need to use ID3v2.

sockbox:
To write id3v2 tags, you'll need the foo_id3v2.dll component installed with foobar 0.8.3 (which i also still run). I'm not sure if it comes with the special install. If you don't already have it, I've uploaded a copy here.

Under Playback -> Input -> Standard Inputs

I've selected to only write ID3v2 tags.

I also use mp3tag to remove all tags and write only id3v2 tags.
