help
« on: May 27, 2011, 05:28:53 PM »
I'm new to this, so here goes. I have a sansa e260 mp3 player. I bought a flash drive w/8 gig of memory because I hate deleting music. I contacted sansa, and they said I have to install rockbox in order to listen to what is on the flash drive. I did everything I was supposed to according to installation instructionsand installed correct manual. I have rockbox on my mp3, but am not able to use the system because all it says is that it is "scanning disc". So I still don't know if this is going to work or not. I even uninstalled, and then reinstalled the rockbox. HELP, I love my music and I'm sure this is a great thing, but i'm a novice and I probably need some illustrations or something. Thanks for your help in this matter.

You need to be more specific.

Do you have an e260v1 or e260v2?  When does it say "scanning disc"?  What happens when you boot the player?  Which version of rockbox are you using?
