Ipod Nano 2g - Car Mode

(1/1)

richardgnz:
Hi,

I have an ipod nano 2g and I am having issues with rockbox. The problem I have is when I jump in the car and turn the ignition my rockbox does not continue where it left of - it instead goes straight the USB connection screen and no music plays.

I then have to unplug the charger - hold the menu button down and reinsert charger.

I am lucky if the battery lasts for an hour and if left overnight the battery will be dead. For this reason I always leave the ipod connected to the cigarette light charger.

I have the correct settings enabled so when the ignition is stopped rockbox pauses and starts the idle timeoff countdown. If I hold the menu button as I start the ignition it does resume correctly - but this is something that I always forget to do....

Is there a way to disable the USB connection so I do not have to hold the menu button?

I find myself using the native ipod firmware at the moment as that will continue to play when I start the ignition. Obviously I do not want to be doing this.... Hopefully someone can help with something to try?

Thanks
