I am new to rockbox, and I must say, I love it!, but when I play music I have to go to the ##MUSIC## folder and select the artist, and then the album, but it ONLY plays The selected album, there is "Play All" or anything, I would like to play all songs and I also can't view my videos, and whats the difference between the "##MUSIC##" and "MUSIC" folders?, any help appreciated, thx

Rockbox does not require you to store tracks in any particular folder. They are located in whatever folder you put them
I believe that ## folders are created by the sansa firmware. You can delete or ignore. You have multiple methods to play music.
Via the file menu you can use the context menu to insert any / all albums into one playlist.
Via the database browser, for me, there is quicker access to all tracks.
You might want to review the manual. It is quite complete.

##MUSIC# is where stuff goes when using MTP mode in the original firmware.

hey chrisplushado,
I assume you transferred your music using media transfer protocol? By using rockbox you can put your music on your player anywhere you want by drag & drop. But as usb is not enabled in the release version, the folders ##MUSIC# and MUSIC and of course the other folders existing on your player like PODCASTS won't go away, because the original firmware creates them. I personally put all the music in the MUSIC folder and set it as the starting directory when selecting "files" from the main menu, then I don't come across these annoying folders anymore.
But you can also use the database, where you can select PLAY ALL. But I think there was also a discussion on this forum on how to play all files the easiest way.
For watching videos they have to be in a certain format. Use WinFF to convert them, it has a preset for rockbox and for other devices too.
See also the manual for further information.
Greetings,

whenever I go to Database, it says "Database not ready" and when I push select it just says Building Database a398 files found, and when I go back or turn it off, it goes back, how do you use the database?

Read the manual.
http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansafuze/rockbox-build.html
I'm not sure what you're asking, but you should make sure to read the messages on screen.
I believe directory cache is enabled by default, so once the database is built it goes to the database browser.
You should see something like: Artist, Album Artist, Genre, Track, etc.
If directory cache is not enabled you will need to restart your player.
The database should be built once you've restarted and you can select it from the main menu and browse it.

Enable "Metadata log" under System > Debug (Keep Out!). It should give an indication of where the process fails.
