Does this work right?

I have a fuze v2. I had originally used fw .26 and a rockbox build from mid 2010? Anyway, some said it would be better to use fw .31 from now on instead of .26 as they were designing now using fw .31 //Well I wanted the new rb recently so I simply copied the new rb files over my old rb files method. It seems to work fine but I didn't use the new mamskboot(sp?), bootloader or fw...Is there a disadvantage to this method? It seems to work fine but I'm wondering if I'm missing out on sound quality or other plusses by only copy and pasting- without re-doing it using updated files and fw .31?

You don't need to update the OF unless you want to use it.  FWIW if you have questions about updating rockbox, you can check the manual.
