Playing at double speed

Somehow while playing music, the player (Sansa Clip+) got into a mode where it was playing the music at double speed, with the usual Donald Duck effect.  How could that happen?  And what's the best way to get back to normal speed?

It sounds like you've accidentally changed the settings in the pitch screen, accessible through the context menu in the while playing screen.
