Ipod Classic 160gb

So I have no idea which generation or what my ipod is... but I do know it is 160gb.  I want to figure out if I can rockbox my ipod yet.

On another note, my friend recently got a deck that has compatibility with ipods (via usb), would a rockboxed ipod work with this deck, and allow the deck to read it like a harddrive and search and what not?

Lastly what about emCore?

Rockbox runs well on these players, has a complete manual and is supported by the installer:
