Transferring Rockboy Saves To Computer

I've been playing Pokemon Gold, however I'd really like to transfer the save to my computer to use with an emulator with cheats.

I saw a few threads said something about renaming files and whatnot; which I tried to no avail.

Is there any possible way to do this? Thanks.

Sounds like it.  Although I bet that only works for some emulators on the PC.  You'd probably have to look and see if your's is compatible with gnuboy's save format.

Yeah I'm not sure which emulator to use. If someone could write a detailed guide on what exactly I need to do and to what file. Sorry, I'm new to this.
