It does. 

Can you use the command line in Windows?  If so, you could try using the manual installation instructions in the manual, and then when prompted to download the bootloader, use this one instead:

http://duke.edu/~mgg6/rockbox/bootloader-clipplus.sansa

No idea if a newer bootloader will help, but its probably worth a shot.  Some improvements have been made to the storage driver lately.

Awesome saratoga, were in business!  Everything is working great now.  Thanks a ton for both or your help guys!  Pretty rare to get help for something straight from the devs.

Great.  I guess we should think about updating the official bootloader then.

I tried to do installing the bootloader manually and i get an error in command prompt:

ERR]  Could not open bootloader-clipplus.sansa for reading
ERR]  Could not load bootloader-clipplus.sansa

Then the file is missing. Or, depending on your OS, you don't have permissions to access the file.
