Rockbox on Clip+ "*PANIC* disk_init failed!" [Solved]

Why would I have that problem? I have a legit copy of windows xp installed.  Anyways I am a bit disappointed because I only got the clip+ to rockbox it, and the sansa filmware on it sucks.  I might be getting an old Ipod soon, can I rockbox it with the automatic installer or will I run in with the same problem as I did with the clip+?

Usually because you didn't download the file,  or if you did you downloaded it to a different folder.   Have you checked to see if the file it can't find exists?

well the "bootloader-clipplus.sansa" is just a worldpad file, is it what it's supposed to be? i downloaded it from the link about into the rbinstall folder and the other two files clppa and mkamsboot are also in the rbinstall folder.

What is a worldpad file? Are you referring to Wordpad? It's a binary file, and opening it in Wordpad is likely to show garbage. If it's text then something went wrong with your download.

I don't know what that means, but probably not.  I would redownload the file, and this time make sure its in the right folder before you run the command.  FWIW if you feed it the wrong file (but one that exists) you'll get a different error message.
