Rockbox on Clip+ "*PANIC* disk_init failed!" [Solved]

(1/7) > >>

xDownSetx:
Just threw rockbox on my Clip+ and the rockbox utility said the install completed successfully and I saw no signs of errors. When I boot the clip it says "*PANIC* disk_init failed!"

I'm not too worried as the original firmware boots fine when I hold down the left button. Is there anything obvious I should look for to get things working right?  Any sort of logs that will help explain the issue?

.rockbox is in the root of the clip. I've tried other rockbox builds as well.

Also, I'd like to mention that my clip+ is 2 days old and came with firmware version 1.02.16A.  I had to downgrade to 15A in order to get rockbox.

Do you have a SD card in the player? If yes try removing it while booting.

xDownSetx:
Sorry I forgot to mention that.  No SD card in the clip atm.

I'm curious if your player will downgrade even further then .15.  Can you try and see if it will let you flash this firmware file:

You don't need to try that with rockbox, just the regular firmware.

It carried out the downgrade and is working properly.  Does flashing the original firmware wipe the bootloader as well?
