iRiver H140 Hold Button Spoilt

Currently own a CF Mod iRiver H140.

While doing the CF Mod, i broke the hold switch.

The problem is, when i switch the player on, after a idle time of about 5-10mins(not sure), the iRiver goes into hold mode.

The only solution is to use the remote control to toggle the menu and switch off the player.

However, after switching it off for 4-5mins, when i turn it on again, it's back to normal.

Is there anyway to change the idle hold time if there's such thing?

If not, is there a way to reallocate the hold button?
