Ipod 5g stuck on scanning disk..?

Well i just installed this on my ipod, and i unplugged my ipod and turned it on and its been on this scanning disk screen for a hour already... and when i plug it in nothing happens so i can't restore it or anything. What do i do?
I was thinking that possibly its because i have around 2k songs...

Corrupted file system would be my guess.  Reboot, mount the disk and check it for errors.

I don't think i can do that, because my Ipod does not show up when i plug it in to the computer. :S

Not even if you force it into "Disk Mode" by holding Menu+Select until the iPod reboots, and then quickly shifting to, and holding, Select+Play while the iPod is rebooting?
