Recording and audio at the same time on ipod nano

Hello!
Recently I converted an USB cable to a line in adapter, and it works pretty good on the old nano 1g. I use it with a bass, so it would be great to have audio when recording... Do you think that is a possible feature? I imagine there is a reason to block audio when recording, but I'm only asking... Thanks for any reply and i apologize for my bad English.

Apparently the Coldfire based players H1x0, H3x0, X5, etc. can duplex in/out.

The capability isn't in Rockbox, though, as far as I know.

I haven't heard of anything similar for the PortalPlayer based iPods.

I have been reading a lot on the forum but there is nothing about Nano, i think this is just because the line-in wasn't implemented a long time ago, and the developers are still working on this (in the last update, they solved an important recording bug on nano)

Recording works on the Nano if that is what you're asking.

Perhaps Chronon was unclear above, but no you can't do that in Rockbox.

Excuse me, but is really hard to express myself in English. I know it cant be done right now, the question is if it is possible for the developers to implement this in a future update, or it's not because of a hardware limitation
