Installer issues
« on: April 27, 2011, 05:49:25 AM »
I used the, for me, new installer yesterday and chose the minimal install with no games yet I have a bootload of games installed? Seems the installer ignores that option..

Can someone confirm/deny this (based on verification, not just assumption)

The behavoiur is correct . The point is that there is a difference between plugins and game files: Rockbox contains a couple of plugins, which some of are games. Those will always get installed since they are part of Rockbox. However, sone of those plugins (namely doom) require additional game files to run. The option for (not) installing game files does refer to those game files, not to the game plugins itself.

Both.

Plugins use .rock as file extension.
