Fuze v2: patched firmware removed automatically

(1/1)

lduperval:
Hi,

This morning, for no apparent reason, the patched Rockbox firmware was removed from my device. So now, instead of booting Rockbox, I get that "File not found" error.

I tried reinstalling but after it says that the firmware update is successful, a reboot still does not launch Rockbox.

I am aware of the issue with certain devices refusing the patched firmware, but this was working this morning. I plugged it in my computer, copied an MP3 file to it, then when I restarted the device (after a safe eject) Rockbox stopped working.

Any ideas what the problem could be and how to fix it?

Thanks,

L

That actually means the .rockbox folder is missing or corrupted, not that the firmware isn't patched.   You probably need to check the file system for errors and then re-extract a fresh rockbox build to the root of the player.
