Confused on Upgrading

well, i'm new to rockbox, and i rockboxed my sansa fuze with 3.7.1 release.

now the 3.8.1 release is up, i want to upgrade my current version.

now i really don't know how to upgrade my fuze's RB.

i'm thinking that :

1. i delete the .rockbox folder then install the 3.8.1 via RB utility
2. i just use the RB utility and the 3.8.1 will overwrite the 3.7.1


can you please tell me which one of the two noob choices i made up is correct? or is there any?
