What about option Lock Volume Control

(1/1)

I prefer use ReplayGain feature and as usualy no more need to control volume level manually. Just setting once VL and hold same loudness on my ipod at any time. It is not. My ipod's wheel is pretty sensitive. Every time i'm using some features when WPS is active my volume level involuntarily changing. Are you planning in the future introduce "lock volume control" feature?

Thanks

Lock the keyboard (hold key), and the volume won't change. Obviously, it won't let you press any key while the keyboard is locked.

Suggestions for "semi-hold" features have been suggested in the past, and were always rejected. A patch for it was even created in the tracker, but it was rejected too.

Volume lock (do not go higher than a set volume) has also been suggested and is not approved.

In fact, I don't find any use for those features and they would only make things unpractical for people who don't need/like them (like me).

Thanks for the reply. I understood in general terms. A bit of clarity what i meant posted above.

>Lock the keyboard (hold key), and the volume won't change.
Obviously. It's roughly.

>Volume lock (do not go higher than a set volume)
i don't need such feature. (it is unnecessary, although sometime maybe useful). It's not a problem.

>any use for those features and they would only make things unpractical
agree. but

I have real problem (as an ipod clickwheel model owner). Any accidental touch to any place of control wheel (clickwheel aka touchpad) in WPS mode does nothing but only volume level changes. This happens too often when clicking central button in the middle of the clickwheel or just even when you press the buttons located directly on the surface of the clickwheel. It's annoying.
