Compiling just one plugin

Is it possible to compile just one plugin at a time instead of compiling everything?

The first time yes, then afterwards it'll only compile what has changed.

Meaning the first time it compiles everything, and after that it only compiles what has changed? Because I compiled once, added a plugin, and compiled again, and it recompiled everything.  Do you have to use something other than "make"?

A simple make is all you have to do.

If it recompiled everything you probably did something that touched the makefiles and forced a rebuild.

I guess you might  have changed a header file that makefile need to re-compile all files include this header
