How to easily remove (ERR) entries in playlist?
(1/1)
cereal_killer:
Hello Rockbox community
is there a fast and easy way to remove the entries of files that do not exist on the disk anymore from a created playlist? I know I can scroll through the playlist and manually remove those entries, but is there an other method? Or maybe even something like "playlist tidy" (like "disk tidy" for the drive) as proposed here:
http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,21093.0.html
I thought updating the database would remove them, but the entries still exist and are only marked as (ERR) when trying to play them, after a reboot and entering the playlist there are no such prefixes so I can't tell which files do not exist anymore.
How do you manage that, as Rockbox strongly focuses on playlists?

Hello there,
sorry to bring up my post, but I would be very happy to find a solution for my problem. Can anyone give me an advice?
Would be nice.

There's no such capability in Rockbox right now. I agree that a plugin with this functionality would be a nice addition to Rockbox. It even seems like it might be doable in Lua. Feel free to suggest it in Feature Ideas.

Hi Chronon,
thanks for your reply. Instead of opening a new thread in the Feature Ideas section, I will bump the thread I linked in my opening post.
Hope that some more developers find this idea a good one and somebody even starts to work on that (I keep my fingers crossed).
Greetings
