You could just get an iPod Video and fit a 240GB drive; that's what RapidRepair were selling anyway.
Thanks for the clarification. I was just mentioning it as a Rockbox-able player that has ZIF, but I guess it has some quirks that make installing a new HD non-trivial. This is moot from the standpoint of a recommendation, but for my own curiosity: Would imaging the original HD to the new one then modifying the MBR to reflect the actual size of the new HD work?
Sadly, my 240GB rockbox'd iPod seems to have not made it back from some recent travels. I guarded this thing with my life for three years, and somehow lost it somewhere in Austin. Apparently RapidRepair is no longer selling these, so is are there any other alternatives with a similar capacity? I could just suck it up and get a 160GB classic with crappy firmware, but after having 240 gigs with glorious Ogg Vorbis capabilities for so many years, going backwards will just depress me. I imagine I'm screwed, but I figured it's worth asking. Thanks!
