Sansa Fuze v1 SDHC problem...
silverwolf7:
Hi, I have a sansa fuze v1 (checked version using the OF). Rockbox will not recognize my 16gb microsd card. It's a new Sandisk card that's been checked for authenticity, properly formatted, etc.
I previously had an 8GB Kingston microsd that worked fine. But Rockbox doesn't recognize the 16gb card at all- the system info says nothing's inserted into the microsd slot. I can use Rockbox USB mode to write to the card perfectly well, and the OF of the player reads it fine, but Rockbox just won't show it.
I researched this issue and it seems the clip+ and fuze v2 have it, but I haven't heard of it on the Fuze v1.
I would really appreciate any help, I don't have the money to buy a different player or card so I have to make this one work.
Thanks.

I can suggest a couple of changes to the sd card driver for this player to diagnose or work-around the problem.
Are you able to build rockbox from source (have the toolchain, know how to apply patches, etc.)?
silverwolf7:
Yes, I'm able to compile. I took the "simple guide to compiling" course about a week ago and was able to patch/compile something for a friend. I have an older Windows machine so I have to use Cygwin, which I've heard is slower than the other options (never had a chance to try Vmware).
The firmware on my player is r29714 if that helps.
Thanks

You can try the patches posted in this flyspray task:
http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/11840

I tried the patches, I get the same error message with both-
amsv1_sd_normal_speed.patch:
"Hunk #1 FAILED at 338. 1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file firmware/target/arm/as3525/sd-as3525.c.rej"
amsv1_cmd6_delay.patch gives the same message, except the failure is at line 349.
