lrcplayer, how to get it working

nickdc:
I've a fuze v2 with latest rockbox build, a lot of my mp3 with tagged lyrics, but lrcplayer doesn't show me lyric, any idea on how to get it working?
Thanks anyway

Chronon:
The manual says it supports "id3v2 SYLT or USLT tags in mp3 files".  Are your files tagged appropriately?

What happens when you start the plugin?

nickdc:
When i start the plugin i see just the progressbar and the song name playing, nothing else...
the files are tagged with id3v2, but don't know how to verify sylt or sylt type...

BruceBanner:
Yeh lyrics seems to be a weird thing.
For example, I tagged my mp3 files and embedded unsynced lyrics within the files via using mostly Tag&Rename. In Tag&Rename it doesn't give any more info for the lyric section other than a tab saying 'Lyrics'.
I was tinkering around with foobar2000 to see if i could get a txt panel to show just lyrics. At first it wasn't working but upon right clicking an mp3 file in foobar and going to properties I was seeing my lyrics displayed under metadata as being 'UNSYNCED LYRICS'. So changing the settings in the txt panel of foobar from displaying %lyrics% to %UNSYNCED LYRICS% and viola its working beautifully.

My point is different software for tagging is showing different information (sum not enuff info). Clearly in tag&rename the lyric section is UNSYNCED LYRICS as metadata but it doesn't SAY this anywhere within the program, it was only in foobar that I discovered what Tag&Rename was doing.
I too am at a loss as to find out if my lyrics are SYLT or USLT ?? :S What does SYLT and USLT even mean? I'm guessing Synced Lyrics Text and Unsynced Lyric Text.

Either way lrc player plugin crashes on my fuze v2 with rockbox as well :S

The lyrics are possibly too large to be embedded as metadata...?

Have you tried using one of the other formats that LRCplayer supports (.lrc ( or .lrc8 ), .snc, or even .txt)?
