error running rockbox in linux SDL

configure select SDL, Normal
run ./rockbox
select a mp3 file, then :

SDL_WaitEvent() error
.....
SDL_WaitEvent() error
SDL_WaitEvent() error
SDL_WaitEvent() error
Segmentation fault

what's wrong with the build?

Ver 3.8.1
when playing a MP3,
Segmentation fault

then quit.


after remake,

while compiling sim any model mode, error is the same. don't know what's wrong.

and the same error while making any target choosing Simulate build, please figure out how I made wrong, thanks .

Did you run make install after recompiling?

sure, did as the docs told to do.

when remove the codec dir, it will report codec could not be loaded error, will not quit with the errors I posted, but when it could find the codec, error came.

Do a clean build and install, post the log and the exact error message you got.

problem clear after install bin2utils by rockboxdev.sh
I have cross compiler arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc so I saw the tool is going to install the tool chain, then I terminated it. so the problem comes.
can I use arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc as the compiler?

You should be using whatever your host gcc is.

Yes I know.  Unless arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc is what your machine uses as its native gcc, its not going to work.
