Iaudio M3: how to reverse button order for menu navigation?
(1/1)
oluv:
after a long time i activated my old M3 and finally wanted to try rockbox as some features were always missing in cowon's original firmware.
i really like rockbox, but one issue is really driving me mad. the bottom button on the remote (menu vol+/vol-) is working exactly the other way round compared to original.
if i want to scroll down in a list i have to turn the button to the left, but i am used to turn it to the right. is there a way how i can swap the order? i have not found any information regarding this.
thanks a lot for any help!
soap:
There is no way from within the Rockbox software to do this.
It would be a relatively simple change in the source code, however, if you were willing to compile your own.
oluv:
Thanks a lot, if you can give me some hints which values to change in the source code, i will try to compile it by myself, although i have never done it before. But it is worth a try. I cannot get used to the reversed button.

\apps\keymaps\keymap-m3.c
You'll want to reverse the vol up and vol down values in some of those tables, but probably not all of them unless you want things like increasing volume to be backwards :) Some trial and error and you can probably get things to your liking.
oluv:
thanks, will have a look at that. i hope i can get back to you if i don't manage.
