OF stuck in a splash screen loop on Clip+

(1/2) > >>

xandersears:
I can't seem to find anyone else who is having this problem, but on my Clip+, I just installed RB and got it all working nicely, and managed to connect by USB at least once to put the Classic theme on, but now, when I try boot into the OF by plugging in USB or using dual boot mode, it flashes up "Sansa" then the cloverleaf style logo, and then goes black and repeats.
Any ideas?

EDIT: Development - now seems to not turn on at all. When plugged into USB, it is recognised as a device sometimes, but not installed successfully and at no point does the screen ever turn on.
I just plugged it in again and it appeared as a removable disk, but said it needed formatting before I could access it. I did it (probably a bad idea) and there's no change.
I'm going to try let it run flat, but with no screen I'm guessing that will take a good long time.

EDIT2: I'm fairly desperate. Are there any ideas out there at all? Any more information I could give to help, or chance that Sansa could be any help at all?

It's frustrating, because I really can't see where I went wrong; alarm bells should have probably started when the automatic installer didn't work, but I'm fairly sure I'm technologically literate enough not to have messed up the manual install.

If running down the battery doesn't help you might consider opening your player to do the following:

Hi all,

Same here. I have the looping logo when I try to launch OF.

Fortunately, I've managed to access the internal storage via a USB supporting build of Rockbox for Sansa Clip+ and the RoLo functionality (to launch a test firmware from µSD card).
Putting the OF in root directory and restart didn't do anything.

And I can't delete the files stored on it, they are invisible.

Anyone knows how to access those files? Or perhaps I'm just stuck and have to unbrick... which i don't want because Rockbox works on it.

Thanks in advance for any help,
toni

Are you looking for files that cause the original firmware to hang while refreshing its database?
