I know this feature has very little probability to get implemented, but having a different EQ on each ear would allow me to balance and get a nearly perfect stereo panorama:
My right ear perception is globally a few dB below the left ear, but more precisely has got a 5KHz "hole".
Believe it or not, I'm a sound tech and my only problem is for mixing cymbals and the like, when it deals with space position, I need to use an headphone and swap ears to check things.
When dealing with mp3 players, the frustration is more obvious and the balance — though being a great thing! — unbalances the rest of the spectrum...  :-\

ps: sorry for the bump nut i'm quite desperate to get a fix, i can't normally listen to music anymore since i got the hole in my hearing it's really frustrating :(

There is no news, nobody is working on it.  If someone were to it'd have to be a pretty clever UI to get integrated IMO.
