rockbox broke my sansa clip+?

(1/3) > >>

prophetmuhammad:
hey there

installed the latest version of rockbox on my sansa clip over the latest firmware.  over a couple days, the system hung a couple time.  once while indexing all the files and once during playback (it wouldn't go to the next track and it's just stuck there)

so i let the battery drain.  next time i turn it on, I got an error and the thing wouldn't boot.  when i plug it into my computer, it tells me that i have to format drive G (the microSD card).  drive E (clip+ internal memory) would only show directory "music" and the contents inside it, but that's it.

so i uninstalled rockbox.  bootloader won't uninstall, says i should install the latest sansa firmware over it.  so i try to update my clip+ with the sansa updater, no good.  the computer can't detect my clip+ anymore.  wtf?

now when i'm back to the original firmware and i can see all my music... but i can't move any files to my microSD card until i format it.  and the computer won't recognize my sansa for updates anymore.    >:(

any way around this?

thanks

Check the disk(s) for filesystem corruption.

i can't scan for anything because windows won't recognize it.

Neither in Rockbox, or the original firmware?

prophetmuhammad:
when it was rockbox it could recognize until that the system hung up.  after that, it tells me to format my clip+.  so i switched it back to the original firmware.  still doesn't recognize.  only tells me to format it when i plug it in.
