flying sheep:
hi guys,
i was a rockbox user for a long time, and now that there is a ipod build, i installed it on my girlsfriend’s device.
unfortunately, the device crashed after updating the database, when i pressed the left button while being on “all titlesâ€.
now i don’t get past “building database (1/9)â€.
help!

It sounds as though the database is choking on some metadata it doesn't like (usually very large embedded AA, or comments).
As a side note, the iPod Classic build is considered to be "unusable" at the present point, it is a very young port and still needs a lot of work.
Battery runtime is rather dismal at the present also.

i know, but i just couldn’t wait. i hope my girlfriend already likes it in spite of the bugs.
i got it to work again: http://www.freemyipod.org/wiki/Talk:IPod_Classic_iLoader_Installation#Rockbox_freezing_while_boot_up
SpecFroce:
Hi, if you still have issues, please take a look at this tutorial: http://www.freemyipod.org/wiki/EmCORE_Installation/iPodClassic/UMSboot
I assume you remember how to put the device in to the umsboot state ?
Along with this, update the rockbox version as well. The new rockbox file is available at the the releases page.
