Fuze v2 car adapter mode?

I have three Fuze players, two are v2, one is v1.  All three are set up inside rockbox to operate in car adapter mode.  However, for both of the v2, when power is applied while the unit is turned off, it boots into the original sansa firmware.  However the v1 operates as expected (booting into rockbox when power is applied from the off state).

I've searched for this in the forums, and I still am not clear.  Is this  due to the fact that the usb driver for the v2 fuze is not yet incorporated yet?  Is it something else?  Is it something I can solve now?  Will it ever be fixed in the future?

Until USB mode works, the Fuzev2 will keep booting into the OF whenever its plugged into a power source while off.  I'm not sure if theres an easy way to work around this in the mean time.
