How to Rollback Fuze 3.8 to 3.7
(1/1)
seier:
Hi Gang,
Rockbox 3.8 positively sucks on Sansa Fuze v2. I would like to rollback to V3.7 which is much better and is almost 100% stable. Can someone tell me how? Unfortunately, I don't think I have the backup anymore, because I reinstalled 3.8 to make sure it wasn't just a corrupt install. I don't like posting bugs when the only bug is on my end, you know.
Thanks,
Christian

3.8 definitely has some issues.....but if you don't have your 3.7.1 backup anymore, try installing the current build....improvements have been made in the last few days. I installed 29652 the other day and it worked just fine on shuffle all for seven hours while I was at work.

seier,
What are your problems exactly with 3.8?
There will be a 3.8.1 bugfix release (probably within the next few weeks) that addresses several issues.

While I think it's way better to mention your issues so people can check and fix it a way or another you can always install older builds. You only know if its a problem at your end only if you discuss the issue.
Just have a look on the download server: http://download.rockbox.org/release/

Hi Guys,
I want to thank everyone for the replies. I didn't even know anyone had responded. Perhaps this forum doesn't send me updates or I have it configured wrong. I'll take a look at that. In any case, I just installed 3.8.1 and saw a lot of fixes for Sansa Fuzes in the changelog. I'll reply again if 3.8.1 still isn't as good as 3.7.
Thanks Again,
Christian
