iPod video database problem / Rockbox 3.8
« on: March 30, 2011, 04:46:30 PM »
It looks like I'm not the only one having a problem with 3.8 on the iPod video.

My problem not quite the same as others posted:  my 80gig, 5.5 iPod sits indefinitely on "Scanning database" when 3.8 boots.

Tried removing the database files, turning off load database to RAM, and finally putting a database ignore file in all but one folder (with only five mp3's in that folder) - no joy, same problem.

So I rolled back to 3.7.1, everything's copacetic....

I have the same problem: was running 3.7 and upgraded to sporadic behavior. Going to downgrade tonight to hopefully fix. Love Rockbox but something is off...

Seeing as how multiple users are having this issue, might I kindly suggest someone opening a bug report in Flyspray if one hasn't been opened already?

Once that's done, please give us the ticket number.
