Recording screen, button layout problem (iriver H10)

Hi. My problem is:

When I stop recording with "Select" button, a new recording is automatically starting. I've never found a key combination to simply exit the recording screen, other than bashing buttons to point where recording stops and I can press left arrow to exit... What's wrong here?

People have spent a lot of time maintaining the manuals.  You could always look there if you're trying to find out this sort of thing.
