Equaliser freuencies sweep

I was just wondering if the frequencies sweep in the graphic eq could be logarithmic instead of linear.
It would be very useful as human brain has a logarithmic way to interpret frequencies.
So instead of

10Hz                       10kHz                         20kHz

it should be
________________________________________
10Hz                       1kHz                           20kHz
