As far as I understand the issue is solved but for reference:

--- Quote ---8.These are the steps I did next ;
1. Download the firmware patch er fwpatcher.exe from http://download.rockbox.org/
bootloader/iriver/ and save it to your desktop.
2. Go to your desktop and double-click on the firmware patch er.

You don't need fwpatcher, and the manual doesn't say that you need it. Rockbox Utility also doesn't. Rockbox Utility does the complete job for you, you only need to provide the (unmodified) hex file it asks for. Patching the firmware twice doesn't make sense and is likely to fail badly (though I never tried this).

Follow either the manual installation instructions or use the automatic installation with Rockbox Utility. Mixing both up is a bad idea.

OK I am back with a new problem
I am installing Rockbox on my second player which has a  64GB kingspec SSD the drive  that was just put in . When I go through these same steps again all is good until I go to do a firmwear upgrade on the Iriver which is the last step . Then nothing happens it DOSE NOT upgrade . I have tried the steps using the rockbox utility I used last time .  Can any one offer any help.
Thank you
