Skip songs while hold is on
« on: March 25, 2011, 03:03:38 PM »
On my iaudio7 I have the option in the latest firmware to skip songs even when the hold button is activated.
The buttons to do this are so hard to press that its unlikely it will happen by coincidence.
This of course is very handy for sports etc because you can skip in the pocket.

I think on the fuze the next song button is hard enough to press so it wont happen unintentionally when its in the pocket.
Right now I have to do that without hold, however the wheel turns easily so the volume changes unintentionally.

Would it be possible to have this option in rockbox?

This is probably not the kind of thing we'd want to add, but its probably not too hard for you to try out yourself.  I think on the Fuze the hold can be ignored by software, so you could likely make this work.  Not sure how best to do it though.

Will this here only work with the cowon d2 or with all players?
FS#10698  (cant link this directly)

Or can I modify this to do what I want?
I yet have to learn C but I have an idea how programming works and the compiling of the source.
