Merge clock and alarmclock into single plugin

Hi, I have my ipod video attached to the livingroom wall and connected to larger speakers as a jukebox. Most of the time I use it as a clock using the clock plugin though. Wouldn't it be nice to have all chronometer-related plugins such as clock, alarm and maybe stopwatch merged into a single one?
Also, I really like clock's large digital time display. What I think is missing in this view is the battery status. Any chance this can be included?
