iPod 5gen 60gb keeps locking up with Rockbox 3.8

I've had a iPod for a while now since Rockbox 3.5 I think and although I've had it lock up a few times, it has been weeks between. Since yesterday with Rockbox 3.8, I've had numerous lock ups during playback or just updating the database both whilst on battery and whilst charging.

I'm hoping either going back to 3.7, going for the current build will fix it otherwise does it mean my iPod is on the way out?

It seems there is a bug related to the database in Rockbox 3.8 (and possibly current builds).  Are you getting an abort at a specific address?  Is there any correlation with the "Load to RAM" setting?

Are you seeing the problem described here?

I have seen aborts at a specific address, but can't remember what it is right now, but normally it just freezes showing the now playing screen.

I've now turned off the 'load database into RAM' option and - fingers crossed - it seems to be working now.

hi, i have the same problem with my ipod 5.5g (30gb) , the only temporary solution is reset the settings each time that  Rockbox start pressing hold button (in rockbox load screen)
