Can't uninstall bootloader from Ipod 2nd Gen

(1/1)

ryan4778:
First off... I'm not dissatisfied with Rockbox. If anything I'm extremely impressed. I'd just like to go back to my original hardware on my ipod. Rockbox uninstalls fine, but the bootloader won't...
I've tried using an administrator account, but it doesn't seem to work.
Thanks for whoever takes the time to read this  :)

Chronon:
How are you trying to uninstall the bootloader?

Are you aware that you can use the Rockbox bootloader to boot Apple's firmware and that it will remain there until you do a hard reset (by holding Menu +  Select)?

ryan4778:
Thanks so much chronon, just took your advice and it worked. :)
I was trying to use the automatic uninstall.

But it doesn't really matter now.

Thanks so much, and I just thought I'd like to mention again that I'm really  impressed by rockbox. I think the hack is brilliantly done.

AlexP:
As a note, it isn't a "hack", it is a complete replacement firmware.
