Making a quiz patch?
« on: March 09, 2011, 07:41:19 PM »
I'm a complete noob to developing but I would like to create something like iquiz but not necessarily as fancy looking as that. Could anyone point me in a good direction to start.

Thanks
Tippo

I'm not sure what iquiz is, but I have found it helpful to look at existing plugins as well as patches that are on the tracker.

iquiz comes with the newer ipod updates. Its I suppose an educational feature where you can customise multiple choice questions which you transfer via itunes with additional free software, it also has fancy graphics, but since I'm using rockbox exclusively and hate itunes,I was hoping I could find/make a more basic version or at least a patch to make it work with rockbox systems.

It might be a good candidate for a LUA script.

I was looking at FS#2896 - Japanese quizz as a possible template unless somebody can suggest a better approach.

What are the benefits of LUA?

You don't have to know c, and in theory its probably a little simpler for some things.
