Database initialization does not finish

I've been using Rockbox on an 8GB Fuze v2 since version 3.7, and there's never been a problem. But a few days ago I updated to 3.8 and Rockbox wanted to re-initialize the database. Now it's stuck at "Building database... 4391 found" and never finishes. I can turn the device off and on again, but when I try to use the database it will again try to initialize it and get stuck at the same point. I looked for *.tcd files in the .rockbox folder to delete, but there aren't any. Any ideas other than downgrading to 3.7.1?

Hi! It's a 3.8 bug (see elsewhere in the forum, http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=27339.0 for the clip+).
Try installing a more recent build if you don't want to revert to 3.7.1, it worked for me on a clip+.
