Bricked Gigabeat F40 refuses to work, need original firmware

I couldn't find the firmware Ver2.020JP on former versions of the japanese toshiba website, but this may help:

It looks like you had to register to download.

Thanks and yep, grabbed the 3.0 one a while back.  But to get the 2.x one looks like that registration option is long gone.

I am like 90% certain that even the 2.x firmware wouldn't work with this thing but I figured what the heck, worth a shot.   I currently have two Gigabeat F's (one Rockboxed, one not) and three Gigabeat X's (one Rockboxed, two not).   

It's just what I do.   :)
