API for writing ID3 tags

am I right saying there's no lib today which supports writing ID3 tags to a file?

Correct, we only have readers in the metadata parsers, although in a plugin you're welcome to include any external (open source, c) libraries you need.

mydani:
TagLib and libid3tag seem to be C++ only.
id3lib has a C-wrapper, but it's not yet building...
