Help Explaining Settings
« on: February 18, 2011, 05:45:18 AM »
I understand there is a manual, but it doesn't do a good job of explaining some of the settings. At least, not for a total noob.

Stereo Width
Band Gain
Low Shelf Filter
Peak Filter
High Shelf Filter

If it helps, I listen to mostly to Electronic/Dance music and I'm trying to get rid of some cracking (clipping, i guess) that I'm hearing. I've gotten rid of it, but would still like to know if the settings listed above would improve my listening experience.

Thank You, Cykull

If you don't know what those parameters are, then you don't need to change them. They are all standard audio equalising parameters.

If you have clipping then you've probably set your equaliser wrong: make sure you precut by at least as much as your highest gain channel on the equaliser.
